Filmmakers Bernd Mantz and Grischa Windus have accompanied the Wuppertal sports club for half a year and were witnesses of the rise from the Oberliga Niederrhein to the Regionalliga West. The result was a portrait of the traditional club, which tells more than pure sports history: in numerous interviews and atmospheric pictures the phenomenon WSV is traced. The film gives an insight into the history of the WSV, the crisis and the new beginning, the unique fan scene and the special relationship of the club to his hometown Wuppertal.
